Last night we sat on the balcony to observe a thunder storm, me and my children. Scanning the sky for the electric light, noting the direction of the wind and counting down the rolling thunder. Movement caught our eyes as a small weightless thing swirled in front of us.
My eldest: “It’s a message from God, but it landed in the wrong place.”
Me: “A message?”
My eldest: “Yep, I saw the words, I can tell you what it is.”
Me: ” Okay.”
My eldest: “Dear Raj, No, No, Dear Friends, I can say friends. I love you. I know your names.
I know Raj, I know Sanjay, I know Javon, I know Ramesh and I know Danielle. I love your name, Danielle. I know each name.
Your children are sweet. Danielle is nice. I love you. Be good. If you take care of the Earth. You take care of me. I talk to you in the temple. I talk to you in your heart. I talk to you everywhere.
I’m the Earth. I’m Everything.
I’m the Earth. I’m Everything.
I’m the Earth. I’m Everything.
That’s all Mom. That’s the message.”
Lightening fills the sky.
My eldest: “God said Yeah!”
Of course, I have influenced my son’s beliefs, but not his faith. I give him room to develop that on his own. I am constantly amazed at the explanations he gives me and I only correct scientific inaccuracies.
His faith is his own and I am blessed to hear my son relaying a message from God. I asked him permission to write it down and we collaborated to make sure everything was added. I, then, asked him permission to share it. He said it’s a message for everyone. I have a specific agenda when I ask permission of my 6 year old, son. I am giving him the authority of his beliefs.
