I have so much too share but here is a taste of the motivating force behind meeting my Presidential Candidate and yours, Dennis Kucinich.
Yesterday at a townhall meeting at UNLV, the fam and I met and heard the reality of a Kucinich administration. If you think I am a strong supporter, you haven’t met Raj. My support is personal and political, so we expressed our gratitude with a small collection of gifts for Kucinich and his lovely wife Elizabeth {a handmade Indian purse, a shawl chosen to compliment Mrs. Kucinich’s beautiful red hair, and a small Ganesh statue which has been with us for 7 years and was used to bless a travel venture in Jaisalmer, India}. Dennis thanked him in hindi while I chased my two youngest boys who were dead set on visiting an odd corner. I was able to briefly shake his hand but was caught up in his presence, yeah I’m a groupie. His speech was wonderful and he made eye contact with me several times. I was brought to tears for many reasons speaking with Diana Smith the co-chair for Nevadans for Kucinich, he truly creates hope. Hope is a rare commodity these days and is to be honored most high.
We came back more energized and strategizing Kucinich’s campaign, speaking politics and watching the rebroadcast of the Las Vegas Democratic debate. Family quality time at it’s best in my household. I picked up a copy of Kucinich’s book ” A Prayer for America” and a few how to activist books from Amazon.com.
I have set up a store for Modern Musers and used it to buy our textbooks and I was awarded $13.00 for saving serious money. Sounds small but I now have three important books coming soon that I wouldn’t have been able to purchase. You, of course, can help me further educate myself and in return others by using the Modern Musings portal for your shopping.
Below is a share I sent out to my care2 network. Please read further, visit the links, if you are already a Kucinich supporter visit the polls add your voice, if you are undecided please take your duty seriously, do your own research before supporting a candidate, and spend some time with Kucinich, and if you have made up your mind for someone other than Special K, one more time for me visit the youtube link and consider him one last time.

Being in Las Vegas we have experienced alot of excitement due to the recent Democratic Debate. I am a staunch Kucinich supporter and was blessed to see him in a town hall meeting with my family yesterday. It was truly a moving and motivating experience.
He showered love on my eldest son, who continues to brag that he got three hugs and a kiss from the President. “Not two hugs, Mom, three and don’t forget about the kiss.”
I just got a message from Nevadans for Kucinich directing me to a CSpan poll that Dennis Kucinich is winning. This is from CSpan!
Let us do what we did with the ABC debate poll and most recently the DFA poll. We enjoy a large community of supporters but we are spread far and wide. Numerous blind taste tests online have revealed Kucinich as their choice based on the issues.
Glassbooth is the most recent model and is enjoying widespread acclaim on the net and on network television.
Dandelion Salad shared Tucker on MSNBC speaking actually very highly of Kucinich, saying he represents the true Democratic Party ideals.
We are all busy there is no doubt about that, but we must invest our time in our communities especially those of us who have to caucus.
Meetups are a great place to start. The action center can connect you to your local Kucinich supporters.
We do not lack determination but perhaps our organization needs improving. This can be done only is we participate locally and put our collective intelligence together.
Do whatever you can and then DO MORE!
The investment you make today and tomorrow will surely pay off. Our prize is a viable future for us all!

So good to read your story!! I just returned home from the presidential Forum on Global Warming & America’s Energy Future , an afternoon with Dennis Kucinich , Hillary C. and the other guy , who’s name I forgot ( please forgive me) , I left the building a while into Hillary ’s “performance ” -
at the Wadsworth Theatre here in L.A. - with our funtastic mayor , who helt the opening speech , he was SMASHIN GOOD & right on target - making a great opening for Dennis to emerge right after him …And Dennis rocked the HOUSE with his humanity , spellbound truth , charm and modesty , with his knowledge and solution orientated honesty … Whereby Hillary Clinton came across like my good old math-teacher …she kept on speaking in NUMBERS , like ” in the year 2030 we will have this accomplished and by 2010 and a half the cabonmonoxide of that and this will be diminished by then and such , always calling out numbers , before that she said , that she has done research since ONE WEEK … I cannot trust this woman! Dennis Kucinich had a couple of HUGE AND LONG STANDiNG OVATiONS , also from the HILLARY-supporters , When Hill’ took the stage , she was greeted with loads of hysterical pro-creative jubileering cheers but as much as I can say , MY very OWN VERY LOUD AND DEEP UNEASY-SOUND making voice came through aswell - so funny … I was surrounded by at least 10 more security people appearing out of nowhere suddenly …. but also other people were cheering with more uuuuuh and boooo-like sounds , which were more DEEP than the happy high cheers from the Hillary-Supporters … This - in effect - made Hillary be VERY HARD and MACHO for the first 10 minutes …. and when she started to loosen up for a moment - the harshness came back quickly when she started her NUMBERcalling part of the show …
In any which case , I also met some wonderful veterans - outside- they were not allowed in . They told me with sadness , that America has many many tousands of homeless veterans out in the streets . I am from Berlin , Germany , I am a singer , I would’nt be here - if it were not for courageous Americans who saved my family from torture and death . I love AMERiCA so very much ! And I HOPE that America will have KUCINICH as a president . America deserves IT! WE ALL DO !! The world deserves a REAL a GREAT a MOST WONDERFUL , A POSiTiVELY POERFUL AMERiKA!!! I hope Dennis4President will win this race! I ROCK 4 DENNiS 4 SHURE!! with Love , Nina Hagen , Los Angeles

Travis,
It is indeed a true blessing in my eyes to be in a position in my life and evolving political engagement to be READY for Kucinich. He has as I have said numerous times given me hope. What is life if we are to have not hope?
The current situation we are in as a nation and as collective global citizens makes engagement in politics a necessity not just a hobby.
While the pundits play around with Iran, the U.S. military is working on a specially designed weapon for the nuclear plants in Iran. The cold war is hot. Red hot.
On one hand I could be called an idealist for supporting Kucinich but I am in fact a realist. If we do not embrace peace the future, my children’s future is questionable. I recently heard a story of a man taking flying lessons. His instructor told him if he aimed for a set point directly in front of him due to wind currents he would land below his mark, if he aimed slightly above his target he would hit it.
We must too aim high to be able to achieve our central goal.
As always much love!

Nina,
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I heard on my network news that Hillary was to attending the global warming conference but of course failed to mention that Kucinich would also be there.
I am so energized hearing the response of the audience to Kucinich, just goes to show that polls are rigged and the people want real change.
My husband is from India and this will be his first time voting in an American election. Our immigrants realize and are unafraid of Kucinich’s vision. I think this is in large part due to a freedom from the hopelessness of dealing with a two party system and the stupid games in which they play.
Wishing you all the best and hope to get to know you more.

Hi Danielle,
I’am so excited for you !
Your enthusiasm just shines through your post & I think you will remember this day for a long time.
I apprecite reading all you have to say becuase I’am searching. Being so far away means being out of touch with the everyday campaign.
But be rest assured; establishment I do not support
Keep up the great work, and peace to you and your lovely family.

Danielle - thank you for listening to our show and for your comment at BashamandCornell.com
You’re right about nuclear disarmament!
Progressives need to be proud of the fact that we are critical thinkers.
