I remember watching “The Rose”. Bette Middler gave the performance of her life. She was magnificent and that song get me to this day. Tremendous vocal performance.
What can I say about badu that hasn’t been said and better? She’s her own universe. Wonderful picks and I’m digging your blog.

Bette Middler has an amazing voice and I listen to the soundtrack from Beaches, to hear my favorite song by her, which is I Think it’s Going To Rain. Haven’t heard much from her lately.
I’m from Dallas, so Erykah Badu is a must!

It’s not Friday anymore but i’m loving your musical selection. Nina Simone and Erykah Badu are two of my favorites and then you went and pulled out Miss Bette Middler. I love her. She’s a fabulous singer actress. Thanks for sharing.

Dallas’ own E. Badu. You she’s got it going on.

The Joy of Friday!
I’m glad everyone liked this week’s selections.
I didn’t know where Erykah hailed from. She feels so eternal though, I gotta say.
I think one could easily accept Erykah Badu as the Goddess of Hip Hop.
In light and love
