This week’s theme is Motown. I searched and found Erykah Badu is with Motown and she has had a tight hold on my ear of late so we have “Next Lifetime”. The video concept is amazing as well.
Enjoy.

Hey Danielle.
Erykah has a truly unique voice that I’ve always loved. And “Call Tyrone” is still a kick of a tune for me. Great choice.
BTW, I’m embarrassed to ask this, but I keep noticing on OSF as well as WW that there is a certain “theme” that some folks are following. Where is this theme coming from? And are we bound to always follow the theme or can we stretch outside of it (hope so)? Help a friend out…

@Regina
It’s a tie for me between On and On and Next Lifetime. Do you know that Erykah caught slack at the Okayplayer forum where she herself spends time?
Disrespecting the Queen for not being married and having different fathers to her children. She’s expecting another and finished her European Tour.
Erykah is so awakened, home schools her children who are never left behind when she’s on the road, feeds her family organic GOOD food and with Andre 3000 and Common as her children’s fathers I don’t think we can hate on her for taking a unique path.
@Believer can’t comment on your site today, for some reason. Here’s what I say to Mr. Postman
Oh yes.
I had a lovely conversation with my postman yesterday.
I’m worried since he’s in the National Reserves and will deploy in February for Iraq and his younger sister is in Afghanistan.
He is the best mail carrier I’ve had in all my mail receiving days.
Hope your day is full of joy.
You know the rest.

You know I hooked you up on the OSF inside track. Call Tyrone is great. I am more than a fan of Ms. Badu.
@Hagar’s Daughter
I was as surprised as you, at first. She belongs with Motown until of course she goes completely Indie.
Thanks to all for stopping by.
